You're best move IMO is to pull those 3 out, sell them, and then pickup 2x8gb 3600mhz modules from crucial. (i suggested 2x8gb since likely the price you might get for the 3x 2400mhz modules should provide enough to get a good set of 2x8) in my opinion, yes it is too slow. if you overclock that ram to 3200Mhz but the timing also goin to slower
It's the 1% lows and your minimum fps that jumps.going from 2400 to some cl14 3200 would be a noticable difference. I noticed a difference In min fps going from 3200cl14 to 4000 cl16 with tightened sub timings. 7900x@4.7 1.27v ,x299 rampage apex,32gb 4000 cl15,gtx 1080@2150, custom loop.
Today, we’ll be looking at a kit from Kingston’s HyperX Fury family – The 32 GB DDR4-2400MHz kit to be exact. The HyperX Fury DDR4 kits range in speeds from 2133 MHz to 2666 MHz and come in either 16 or 32 GB capacities. Several months ago, we had the opportunity to review a DDR3 HyperX Fury kit and came away impressed with its ‎16 GB : Processor Count ‎1 : Compatible Devices ‎Laptop : Special Features ‎Speeds up to 3200 MT/s and faster data rates are expected to be available as DDR4 technology matures : Mounting Hardware ‎1 x Crucial - DDR4 - 32 GB : 2 x 16 GB - SO-DIMM 260-pin - 2400 MHz / PC4-19200 - CL17 - 1.2 V - unbuffered - non-ECC : Number of items ‎2 VENGEANCE® Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4 SODIMM 2400MHz CL16 Memory Kit. Give your DDR4 laptop ultra-fast SODIMM DRAM memory performance. SODIMM DDR4 RAM modules are compatible with a wide range of Intel® and AMD® laptops and PCs. $74.99 USD. You can build a powerful gaming PC with 16GB 2400MHz DDR4 RAM for instance (which is on the lower side of clock speed). Would it be better to have say, that 16GB of RAM at 3200MHz+? Absolutely! But it’s not a deal-breaker to have lower speeds if your budget is tight or you’re simply not bothered about fine-tuning potential performance/game FPS. mFaxV7l. 831 54 833 426 682 889 254 935
